CLOSING MESSAGE: David Schweikert Seeks Reelection to ‘Break Up’ FBI and Pardon Criminals

Yesterday, new video footage came to light of Rep. David Schweikert saying he supports dismantling the FBI, releasing prisoners convicted of crimes in relation to January 6th, and impeaching key cabinet officials.

With only weeks left before election day, this is clearly a critical element of Schweikert’s closing message to voters. 

He outlines these goals in no uncertain terms:

If we win the White House, we [can give them pardons]. But not ‘till we win the White House. 

[…]

The FBI and their witch hunts, the number one thing we can do there is – and this is why you want Jim Jordan on Oversight – is every one of those documents from the FBI goes to this committee.

[…]

You don’t want to defund them, you want to break them up.

[…]

You defund the line items, you strip where they spend their money.

He goes on to specifically name FBI Director Chris Wray, Secretary Mayorkas, and Secretary Blinken as his personal targets for impeachment.

In the final stretch of his campaign, Schweikert – who is guilty of 11 ethics violations himself – is clearly more interested in releasing criminals onto the streets, defunding law enforcement, and planning political retributions than delivering for Arizonans.
