| As he stood on stage at a party that cost $25,000 a head, Carlos De La Cruz talked about the families “sitting at the kitchen table tonight, doing the math on the rent, the groceries, and the gas and wondering how it all adds up.”
He went on to say that Republicans solved all those problems when they took power in 2024…
Yet, the year is 2026 and diesel prices have hit a record high and continue to climb, the cost of health care is pushing families to their breaking point, the cost of a gallon of milk is the highest it’s been in more than two decades, and the cost of housing keeps going up.
It should come as no surprise that Carlos De La Cruz is just as out-of-touch as the “Washington insiders” he talked about. After all, it’s those same Washington insiders like his sister who elevated him.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Carlos De La Cruz must have been confused after finally stepping out from his basement campaign. In the two years Republicans have controlled Congress, they have done absolutely nothing to lower costs for South Texas families. From the tariffs, to Republicans’ war-of-choice in Iran, to skyrocketing healthcare costs, De La Cruz owns his party’s failing agenda. This November, Texans are going to send Johnny Garcia, a real fighter for working families, to Congress.” |
