Today, FiveThirtyEight broke the latest development in Erik Aadland’s election-denying saga. Since news surfaced last month that local Republicans tried to delete evidence of the 7th district’s Republican nominee pushing election fraud conspiracy, Aadland has attempted to backpedal on his extreme stance.
As FiveThirtyEight reports, this June, Erik Aadland gathered with a group of Republicans to admit just that; insisting that though he still believes in election conspiracy, talking about it on the campaign trail would cost him the election.
Aadland, who is running in a blue congressional district, is desperately trying to hide his anti-democratic and dangerous views from the very constituents he seeks to represent as his campaign flounders.
DCCC Spokesperson Maddy Mundy:
“Erik Aadland is attempting to hide his dangerous, anti-democratic beliefs because he knows the voters of Colorado’s 7th district demand a representative who will stand up for democracy – not peddle conspiracies that put their rights in jeopardy.”
