Throughout her desperate campaign for Congress, Barbara Kirkmeyer has lied and bent the truth in failing attempts to convince Coloradans that she is concerned about their kitchen table interests. But as voters already know, when you pull back the curtain on her campaign’s finances, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
In the final round of FEC filings before the election, Barbara Kirkmeyer brought in more than $225,000 from PACs – raking in thousands from the likes of Koch Industries and oil and gas companies.
The most embarrassing thing for Corrupt Kirkmeyer? She spent money to hold a fundraiser at PhRMA’s headquarters in DC. Barb isn’t even in Congress yet and she is already hosting fundraisers with the drug lobby. Meanwhile, she has voted against capping the cost of insulin and even against creating a Prescription Drug Affordability Board.
Marcus W. Robinson, DCCC Spokesperson:
“Day after day, Barbara Kirkmeyer reminds voters exactly whose interests she is trying to protect. Unfortunately for working families in Colorado, it isn’t theirs. These fundraising numbers make it clear that special interests, corporate PACs and wealthy donors are bankrolling her campaign. When Barb has already voted in favor of major lobbies to keep costs high, how are voters in the 8th District supposed to trust she is going to represent them in Congress?”
