Comstock Endorses Rubio, Owns His Reckless Positions on Women’s Rights, Climate Change & Equal Pay

Today, Congresswoman Barbara Comstock endorsed Republican Senator Marco Rubio for President, throwing her support behind the one Republican presidential candidate who has singled himself out as the most extreme on climate change and restricting women’s health rights. Senator Rubio’s support for banning abortions in cases of rape, incest, and life of the woman is as eerily extreme as Comstock’s support for mandatory transvaginal ultrasounds for women seeking abortions.

In addition to their shared reckless positions on women’s health, Congresswoman Comstock and Rubio are cut from the same cloth on a host of issues important to Northern Virginians. Like Senator Rubio, Congresswoman Comstock also rejects proposals to ensure women receive equal pay for equal work.

“Congresswoman Comstock is once again demonstrating how out of touch she is with women of Northern Virginia, this time by supporting a candidate who wants to roll back decades of progress on women’s health rights,” said Christie Stephenson of the DCCC.  “Comstock’s candidate of choice for our nation’s highest office shares her backwards views on women’s health issues and paycheck fairness, positions which are squarely out of line with Northern Virginians.”
