Seriously.
Not content with making the largest cut to Medicaid in American history and slashing nutrition assistance to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations, Congressional Republicans are now turning their chainsaw against our nation’s seniors.
In the last day, multiple prominent Senate Republicans have called for making cuts to Medicare to pay for their tax scam. This would be on top of the nearly $500 billion in cuts to Medicare the Big, Ugly Bill will already trigger as currently written.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Before anyone falls for their faux promises to protect Medicare, remember that vulnerable House Republicans also promised to not cut Medicaid – and then did just that. Republicans are making their Big, Ugly Bill even uglier – and it’s going to cost them their jobs in the midterms.
