Though the White House has not made its announcement official, we would like to be the first to congratulate Congressman Curbelo on being named President Trump’s newest Press Secretary.
In one Trump-approved pivot from last night Curbelo says, “I wish you had been as upset when the Obama Administration had children in cages”, which closely mirrors language of President Trump himself, and other Trump Administration spokespeople:
- President Trump: “We have to break up families. The Democrats gave us that law… It’s a horrible thing where you have to break up families. The Democrats gave us that law, and they don’t want to do anything about it.”
- Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “Illegal-alien families is [sic] the product of the same legal loopholes that Democrats refuse to close. And these laws are the same that have been on the books for over a decade.”
- DHS Secretary Neilsen: “The Obama administration, the Bush administration all separated families.”
