As Congressman Hagedorn Heads to Minnesota for Recess, DCCC Launches Digital Ads to Highlight His Failure to Understand Challenges Facing Working Families

Targeted ads in MN-01 will remind Minnesotans of Hagedorn’s claim that “Nobody (in America) goes to sleep at night wondering if they’ll be able to feed their families.”

Today, the DCCC announced that it’s launching a targeted digital ad buy in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District, which will remind voters of just how out of touch Congressman Jim Hagedorn is when it comes to the challenges facing working families.

According to a report from The Globe, Hagedorn declared last month that, “Nobody (in America) goes to sleep at night wondering if they’ll be able to feed their families.” The DCCC’s ads, which highlight Hagedorn’s words, will start running today and will appear on Facebook. The ads are targeted to the 1st District, ensuring that southern Minnesotans are aware of Hagedorn’s comments while he is visiting from Washington.

“After calling Washington D.C. home for more than 25 years, it’s no surprise that Hagedorn is having a hard time understanding the everyday challenges facing his constituents,” said DCCC Spokesperson Brooke Goren. “The DCCC intends to make sure Minnesota voters know exactly who Hagedorn is – a creature of the Washington establishment who is more in touch with his wealthy special interest backers than Minnesota working families.”
