On issues from health care, to gun violence, to immigration, Corrupt Carlos is out of touch and out of step with South Florida families. Below we’ve laid out some of his most appalling stances:
On the Homestead detention center that locked children in cages: “’What I found in that shelter — there was nothing going on there that would make me feel ashamed to be an American.’…Giménez characterized the policy as non-ideal but a necessity…”
On health care: “Giménez said he supports the Trump administration’s use of the courts to challenge Obamacare…”
On gun safety legislation: “Giménez isn’t in favor of any of those policies. ‘In terms of the bans on assault weapons and all, I support the Second Amendment right to bear arms.’”
“Corrupt Carlos Giménez can no longer hide from the truth: his radical and dangerous policies are too extreme for South Florida,” said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. “Corrupt Carlos’ agenda is one where children are kept in cages, protections for pre-existing conditions are repealed, and no one fights for gun safety. His vision is just plain wrong for South Florida, which is exactly why voters will reject his backwards agenda come November.”
