Corrupt Carlos’s Burner Phone

… And How It Won’t Help

Him Escape A Shady Pay to Play Scandal in China

Try as he might, Corrupt Carlos Giménez can’t outrun his shady dealings and blatant corruption around a $770 million foreign monorail project.

Here’s a quick rundown: On a taxpayer funded “trade mission” to China, Corrupt Carlos attended a secret meeting with the Genting monorail company, which he tried to conceal from the press and the taxpayers funding his trip by using a burner cell phone.

That’s right, a burner phone. CLAAASSSIIICCC Corrupt Carlos.

Then, the monorail company provided an unsolicited bid to build a Miami monorail for which Corrupt Carlos had apparently already filmed a promo video.

Then, late last week, many many many many news reports detailed the ethics commission’s findings into his dubious practices.

But wait, there’s more…

Just yesterday, another bombshell dropped when Commissioner Joe Martinez revealed he was told by a competing company that Corrupt Carlos’s staff was begging off any competition because “the way it was steered was to only have monorail.”

Something is very clearly rotten in the state of Denmark Miami-Dade County.
