New analysis revealed that Cory Mills, one of the richest members of Congress, is prepared to rip away Medicaid and SNAP from his constituents in order to enrich himself further.
With a net worth of $24.2 million, Mills would benefit greatly from Republicans’ plans to cut critical health care and food programs in order to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest people in the country. According to the U.S. census bureau, the median household income in Mills’ district is ~$71,000.
More than 30,000 families in Florida’s 7th Congressional District rely on SNAP to feed their families and another 51,000 people are at risk of losing their health care under Republicans’ Tax Scam. Just weeks ago, Cory Mills provided the deciding vote to gut Medicaid by $800 billion and cut SNAP funding by $300 billion putting both of these critical programs in jeopardy.
