Has a cat gotten Congresswoman Jen Kiggans’ tongue?
After spending weeks pledging that she would not cut clean energy tax credits, Kiggans “flip-flopped” and cast the deciding vote for House Republicans’ bill that guts them.
Now Kiggans has gone radio silent as the Senate moves forward with potentially even steeper cuts that would “cripple wind and solar power,” which would in turn jack up energy costs for Virginians by 8% and eliminate good-paying jobs.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Congresswoman Jen Kiggans has gone radio silent because even she knows that her vote was indefensible. Voters will remember that Kiggans cast the deciding vote to eliminate commonsense energy tax credits, which will in turn jack up energy costs for Virginians and eliminate good-paying Virginia Beach jobs.”
