By his own admission, George Logan’s first vote as a member of Congress would be to make Kevin McCarthy speaker of the House.
Bloomberg reported that Republicans are already gearing up to target Medicare and Social Security for cuts, and to hold the full faith and credit of the United States hostage in order to ram those cuts through Congress.
In an interview with Punchbowl News, Logan’s biggest backer, GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, refused to say that a Republican House wouldn’t target Medicare and Social Security for cuts.
Culminating in this headline from the Washington Post:

Logan has refused to repudiate his party’s dangerous brinkmanship or its hostility to Social Security, all while campaigning alongside McCarthy and Lloyd Smucker – the leading House architect of the effort to cut benefits to seniors.
DCCC Spokesperson Ian Clarke:
“George Logan doesn’t have the courage to run on the right-wing agenda he will vote for in Congress. Logan is a yes-man who will help the GOP majority gut Social Security and Medicare benefits for seniors.”
