With only two days left before a MAGA manufactured shutdown, David Schweikert ignored calls to keep the government running and instead voted for a dangerous bill last night that attacked women’s reproductive freedom and slashed nutrition assistance working families depend on.
In addition to massive cuts to food assistance programs and a disgusting effort to discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans, the centerpiece of the legislation is new nationwide restriction on the safe, legal abortion medication mifepristone.

Instead of working in a bipartisan way to invest in America and avert a devastating shutdown, Schweikert decided to join his extreme Republican colleagues and restrict access to reproductive care nationwide.
