Today, the Biden administration announced the first set of 10 medicines that Medicare will finally have the power to directly negotiate the price of thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act – a law David Schweikert opposed in Congress.
Drugs to fight cancer, diabetes, and heart disease will be more affordable for Arizonans – no thanks to David Schweikert.
In addition to this newly announced reform, the Inflation Reduction Act is already saving Arizonans money by capping the cost of insulin to $35 per month for qualifying households and making the Shingles vaccination free.
If David Schweikert had his way, Arizonans would be paying more for prescription drugs.
DCCC spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“David Schweikert voted against legislation that lowers the cost of life-saving prescription drugs, delivers for Arizona families, and stands up to Big Pharma. Get real.”
