House Republicans “absolutely” want to repeal existing laws that lower prescription drug prices
David Schweikert and House Republicans have honed in on one of their closing messages with less than fifty days to go until Election Day: make medicine more expensive.
Schweikert and House Republicans continue to make it clear that they “absolutely” want to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act and raise prescription drug costs for seniors and families, following in Project 2025 and Schweikert’s Republican Study Committee’s footsteps.
Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act allowed Medicare to negotiate down the cost of prescription drugs and capped the cost of insulin for Medicare recipients at $35 a month. The insulin price cap alone is saving 4,100 people in AZ-01 an average of $490 a year.
Not a single House Republican voted for this law.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“David Schweikert wants to make medicine more expensive for Arizonans.”
