After weeks of chaos and infighting, David Schweikert voted against keeping the federal government open. If it were up to Schweikert, hundreds of thousands of active-duty servicemembers and federal workers would be forced to work without pay, small businesses would suffer, and middle-class families would be worse off.
The DCCC will hold David Schweikert accountable for failing the American people and voting to shut down the government.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Today, David Schweikert voted against Arizona families and our nation. Rather than cooperate in a bipartisan matter, Schweikert stood by extremists to shut down the federal government, hold our nation hostage, and wreak havoc on our economy. Schweikert’s extremism will cost them their election in 2024.”
