David Schweikert Votes In Line With Ways & Means Republicans to Raise Taxes On Middle-Class Arizonans, Kick Millions Off Health Insurance

This morning, David Schweikert voted to advance a massive tax scam that would rip health care away from millions, raise costs on everyday Arizonans, and jack up taxes for middle-class families while giving a huge handout to the ultra-rich.

Schweikert gave a crucial vote to pass an out-of-control tax scam that:

• Permanently lowers taxes for millionaires and raises taxes for working class Arizonans.
• Fails to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits that 34,000 people in AZ-01 depend on for high-quality, private sector health insurance.
• Hands out a permanent estate tax break to the wealthiest 0.1%, costing everyday Americans $200 billion.

Even worse: When Schweikert – one of the most vulnerable House Republicans – had a chance to vote on an amendment that would extend ACA tax credits for millions of Americans, he refused.
