David Valadao Chose Big Pharma Over American Families

Valadao pockets more than $219,000 from big pharma while voting against lowering drug costs

New reporting from the American Independent today detailed more than $219,000 in campaign donations that Rep. David Valadao (CA-22) received from the pharmaceutical industry as he repeatedly does big pharma’s bidding in Congress.

As a reminder, Valadao voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, legislation that will cap drug prices for Medicare recipients across the country. And earlier this year, Valadao voted against a bill that would have capped the cost of insulin for Californians.

Yet again, Valadao chose lining his own pockets over people, corporations over communities.

Maddy Mundy, DCCC Spokesperson:
“Time and time again, David Valadao has voted against legislation to lower the sky-high prescription drug costs for Californians. He has a proven track record of choosing corporations and special interests over families, and voters will eagerly elect new leadership in November who actually deliver for them.”
