David Valadao SILENT As California Loses Over $1.2 Billion in Energy Project Funding

As the Trump Administration recklessly slashes nearly $8 billion in federal funding for clean energy projects – hitting California hardest of any state – David Valadao is nowhere to be found.

According to the New York Times“Mr. Valadao…stand[s] to lose the most. The largest canceled award would provide $1.2 billion to projects in California focused on the production, transportation and storage of clean hydrogen.”

Valadao’s silence is especially cruel considering:

REMINDER: After voting for the Big, Ugly Bill earlier this year, Valadao admitted he was jeopardizing cost-saving clean energy tax credits and thousands of good-paying jobs in his district and begged Senate Republican leaders to “mitigate” the negative impacts of his own vote.

But now that D.C. Party Bosses have decided to gut these clean energy projects, it’s crickets from David Valadao.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Californians can’t trust a word David Valadao says. After pretending to champion California’s energy future, Valadao is silent while his D.C. party bosses cancel billions for state energy projects and threaten good-paying jobs in his district. Valadao’s silence isn’t just deafening — it’s a betrayal.”
