David Valadao, one of the only remaining House Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump for inciting a bloody insurrection, is silent after President Trump pardoned approximately 1,250 rioters convicted of storming the U.S. Capitol, including some who assaulted police officers.
More than 140 police officers were injured, and five officers died as a result of the events on January 6, 2021.
David Valadao is choosing to favor D.C. party bosses over the courageous police officers who bravely defended our nation’s Capitol on that tragic day. Just under 24 hours after Trump pardoned the very individuals who stormed our Capitol, Valadao has fallen in line and refused to speak out.
