David Valadao’s First Ad Pushes “Bipartisan” Lie

But Valley voters have heard this lie before. 

REALITY: Valadao has long lost his independent streak. This Congress, he has voted with Donald Trump 98% of the time while Valley families have paid the price. 

Just look at his record: 

• After months of promising the Valley he wouldn’t support legislation that “risks leaving [his constituents] behind,” Valadao voted to cut health care for nearly 70,000 of his constituents – after a meeting at the White House.

• Valadao’s deciding vote delivered massive tax breaks to billionaires, wealthy donors, and large corporations, including more than $1 trillion in tax cuts benefiting the wealthiest Americans.

• Valadao’s deciding vote put nearly $90 million in district hospital funding at risk.

• Valadao’s deciding vote helped enact the largest SNAP cuts in history, threatening food assistance for more than 60,000 households across the district.

• Valadao has voted nine separate times to protect price-spiking tariffs that continue to raise costs and devastate Valley agriculture.

• Valadao has repeatedly backed his party on the reckless war of choice in Iran, even as Valley farmers, ranchers, and small businesses struggle from higher costs and uncertainty.

• Valadao even sided with President Trump on his deeply unpopular effort to end birthright citizenship, defending “making some changes” to a constitutional guarantee that generations of Americans have relied on.

Throughout it all, Valadao has defended these votes by saying he was “vot[ing his] conscience,” and that’s all just in the past year and a half.
