The American people know Republicans are to blame for shutting down the government because they refuse to fix the health care crisis they created.
Recent reports make clear the GOP is growing “squeamish” and in “disarray,” while Democrats are “bolster[ed]” by a debate on health care that they are “winning.”
With House Republicans on vacation for three straight weeks, refusing to vote or do their jobs, Republican leaders are now stuck trying to defend their health care crisis, which will cost them the House majority. Mike Johnson scrambled to falsely claim Republicans “are the ones concerned about health care,” and Donald Trump protested that “we want great health care for people.”
Even Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling out her own leadership, saying she’s “disgusted” that health care costs are set to skyrocket because of the GOP’s manufactured crisis.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Republicans are cornered, faltering, and flailing as they lose the narrative and the American people. What’s so hard about coming to the table, admitting you created a health care crisis, and working in a bipartisan manner to fix it? You’d think the so-called Republican moderates would be begging for the deal they once promised to deliver.” |
