For three weeks straight, Mike Johnson has refused to bring back the House of Representatives to fix the health care crisis Republicans created.
Now, Johnson is threatening to keep Republicans on vacation for a FOURTH straight week — refusing to allow for a vote to pay the brave men and women who serve our nation after Republicans shut the government down.
On CSPAN’s Washington Journal show this morning, a Republican voter called in to grill Johnson on his refusal to bring the House back, find a bipartisan path forward, fix the health care crisis Republicans created, and pay the troops.
“As a Republican, I’m very disappointed in my party, and I’m very disappointed in you, because you do have the power to call the House back,” the caller said.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Mike Johnson and House Republicans shut the government down because they refuse to fix the health care crisis they started. For three weeks straight, they have refused to work, refused to meet with Democrats, and refused to pay our troops. Shame on them.” |
