Talk about embarrassing! Second quarter FEC reports are in, and NRCC-touted CA-25 candidate Suzette Martinez Valladares raked in a pathetic $20,000.
Earlier this year, NRCC Recruitment Chair (and soon to be retiree) Susan Brooks lifted up Martinez Valladares as “evidence of enthusiasm among diverse Republican candidates.”
Yikes. If a $20,000 quarter is evidence of ‘enthusiasm,’ the NRCC is in for a rough cycle.
“As the ranks of women in the House Republican caucus continues to shrink, it’s telling that the NRCC is failing to even help their promoted candidates raise the resources they need to run,” said DCCC Spokesperson, Andy Orellana. “But kudos to both the NRCC and Suzette Martinez Valladares for kicking off a campaign that could possibly compete for Dog Catcher…”
