‘Red to Blue’ is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program arming top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support
DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos announced today that Desiree Tims has been named to the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program.
Tims has earned a spot on the Red to Blue program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond her record of service, Tims has a unifying message for change that connects with voters in Ohio’s 10th Congressional District and deep ties to the communities she aims to serve.
DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos released the following statement:
“The granddaughter of a sharecropper who left school at age 6 to work, Desiree Tims embodies an increasingly unattainable American dream. A daughter of Dayton, she became the first member of her family to graduate from a four-year college, and went further still, earning her law degree from Georgetown. I know Desiree will live up to the opportunities her grandparents gave her to work across the aisle and fight for more affordable health care, increased economic opportunity, and better wages for Ohio workers. Her grit and determination will win her this seat for all Ohioans in November.”
