DCCC’s 2026 offensive target list grows to include Laurel Lee as Floridians sour on Republicans’ record of broken promises and higher prices
Today, the DCCC is expanding House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle to include Laurel Lee, signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by widening the battlefield and focusing on this newly vulnerable seat in Florida.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
Laurel Lee’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats know Florida voters are souring on Laurel Lee’s wildly unpopular record of raising costs, attacking affordable health care, and hurting working families.
Statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene: “Laurel Lee represents the worst of what voters hate about Congress – an out of touch politician who cares more about prioritizing the wealthy and well connected over helping Florida’s working families. As Republicans continue to push their failing agenda that leaves everyday Americans behind in favor of Laurel Lee’s wealthy donors, Democrats will fight to ensure that next November, Florida’s 15th Congressional District will elect a representative that cares about them and their issues.”
Democrats’ consistent overperformance in election after election in 2025 is further proof that we have a path to victory this cycle to unseat Laurel Lee and win FL-15.
Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominee in Districts In Play.
