‘Red to Blue’ is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program arming top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support
DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos announced today that State Representative Margaret Good has been named to the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program.
Good has earned a spot on the Red to Blue program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond her record of service and demonstrated ability to build a winning campaign against a Buchanan, Good has a bipartisan message that connects with voters in Florida’s 16th Congressional District and deep ties to the communities she aims to serve.
DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos released the following statement:
“Raised by a nurse and a pastor, Margaret Good was taught that we are called to work as hard as we can to build a better world. That calling first compelled her to run for state office because she was tired of a government that cared more about lobbyist checks than Floridians. Now she’s running against the 4th wealthiest Congressman in Washington to do the same. Congressman Vern Buchanan has toed his party’s line, even at the expense of his constituents, and Margaret Good is poised to flip this seat, rising above petty politics as she brings Florida’s 16th Congressional District the independent, accountable voice it deserves.”
Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns. Additionally, through Red to Blue, the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings and more.
