| Today, the DCCC is expanding House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle to include MN-01, signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by widening the battlefield and working to defeat Brad Finstad.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
Brad Finstad’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats know Minnesota voters are souring on his wildly unpopular record of raising costs, attacking affordable health care, and hurting working families.
Statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene:
“Brad Finstad left Minnesota families and farmers in the dust to push an agenda that prioritizes special interests. Southern Minnesotans are working harder for less, and Finstad is only making it worse by cutting rural health care, supporting tariffs that are bankrupting farmers, and raising costs on families to give handouts to corrupt billionaires. It’s clear that voters are ready for change, and Democrats are going all-in to defeat Finstad and elect a leader who will put Minnesotans first.”
Democrats’ consistent overperformance in special elections this cycle – including a 20 percent overperformance in a recent Minnesota special – is further proof that we have a path to victory this year to unseat Brad Finstad and win MN-01.
Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominee in Districts In Play. |
