| Today, the DCCC is expanding House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle to include MT-01, signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by widening the battlefield and working to defeat Ryan Zinke.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
Zinke’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats know Montana voters are souring on his wildly unpopular record of raising costs, attacking affordable health care, and hurting working families.
Statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene:
“Ryan Zinke embodies everything Montanans hate about Congress: a shady politician who cares more about lining his own pockets than fighting for hardworking families. When Zinke isn’t making questionable land deals or jetting off to fundraisers on the taxpayers’ dime, he’s voting to greenlight reckless tariffs that are destroying Montana’s economy, gut Montanans’ health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, and selling out Montana farmers and ranchers to Big Ag special interests. The DCCC will spend the next nine months making sure that come November, Montana’s First Congressional District elects a representative that finally puts them first.”
Democrats’ consistent overperformance in special elections this cycle is further proof that we have a path to victory this year to unseat Zinke and win MT-01.
Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages, providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominee in Districts In Play. |
