| Today, the DCCC is expanding House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle to include Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District, signaling Democrats’ readiness to reclaim the House majority by widening the battlefield and working to defeat Ben Cline.
The DCCC’s Districts in Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.
The addition of VA-06 to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends a clear message that Democrats know Virginia voters are souring on Cline’s wildly unpopular record of raising costs, support for a reckless war that’s devastated family farmers, and votes for policies that have gutted rural health care.
“Virginians elected Cline to stand up for them, not run for cover when things get tough. Cline’s disastrous record for rural Virginia, whether it’s gutting rural health care or driving up costs for farmers, will be the reason he loses in November,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.
Democrats’ consistent overperformance in special elections and strong performance in 2025 across the state show that we have a path to unseat Cline and win VA-06. |
