Building on the momentum since the beginning of the year and under the leadership of Hakeem Jeffries, the DCCC announced it raised $7.6 million in May for a total year-to-date of $54.5 million raised. The DCCC has raised $5 million more year-to-date than at this point in 2019, the last off year leading up to a presidential election.
“Americans are ready to have leaders who govern responsibly, and are tired of the dysfunction and chaos of extreme Republicans,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene. “Voters know that House Democrats, led by Hakeem Jeffries, will fight to build an economy that works for everyone, create good-paying jobs, and protect reproductive rights and our democracy.”
The DCCC now has $28 million cash-on-hand, $11 million more than at this time in 2019, and remains debt-free.
