Today, the DCCC announced a seven-figure investment in digital, print and radio advertising to court, galvanize, and mobilize AAPI voters in critical battleground districts. The six-figure digital component of the ad campaign will start running in California, Nevada, New York and Virginia to spotlight Republicans’ extreme agenda on abortion.
The digital ads come as Republicans plot a nationwide abortion ban, which would override any state protections – leaving women and families unable to access reproductive healthcare. The ads share the devastating, but realistic story of a man losing his wife after she was unable to get treatment due to pregnancy complications.
“The Republican agenda poses a threat to people nationwide and especially women and families within the AAPI community,” said DCCC Senior Advisor for AAPI Engagement Allen Chen. “As Republicans plot to further rip away a woman’s freedom to make decisions about her own body, voters will hear about the devastating and dangerous effects of the Republicans’ government overreach.”
