Today, the DCCC announced three new top-tier candidates added to its highly competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program for the 2026 cycle. Today’s expansion brings the number of Red to Blue candidates to 40, highlighting how strong the quality of candidates are on the DCCC’s offensive map going into the last 50 days of the cycle. This latest group of candidates will receive strategic guidance, staff resources, training, and fundraising support to ensure they are in the best possible position to win in November.
“The three candidates added to our Red to Blue program today represent the very best of their communities—unbought, practical leaders who know what it takes to win in tough districts,” said DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene. “The American people have soured on the GOPs’ broken promises and failure to lower costs. With less than 50 days until the election, voters are ready to send a clear message to House Republicans and elect new leaders that will fight for them.”
Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue building winning campaigns. Candidates earn a spot in the program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization, and fundraising.
About the DCCC’s three new Red to Blue candidates:
AK-AL – Bill Hill
Independent Bill Hill is a Dena’ina Athabascan commercial fisherman, union construction worker, and educator of nearly 25 years who has spent his life working for Alaskans. He understands the pressures Alaska families face and connects with Alaskans across party lines thanks to his experience living and working across the state, from Anchorage to Fairbanks to Juneau to Naknek to the village of Kokhanok, where he grew up. Bill is running to protect Alaska’s values as a pro-choice and pro-gun rights independent, focused on lowering costs, taking on D.C. corruption, and making government work for hardworking Alaskans. He is already within striking distance of Nick Begich, who underperformed Trump by double digits in 2024 and is unpopular after selling out his constituents in Washington. The contrast is clear between Nick Begich — out of touch with the needs of hardworking Alaskans — and Bill, who is one.
MI-07 – Will Lawrence

Now, Will is ready to serve Michiganders and make sure Washington works for them, not corporate interests or D.C. insiders. In a midterm election year defined by voters’ anger with Republicans’ cost-raising agenda, Will is positioned to inspire record midterm turnout in Lansing and East Lansing, which make up nearly a quarter of the district’s voters. WI-01 – Mitchell Berman
Mitchell Berman is an emergency room nurse, father, and lifelong Wisconsinite who has dedicated his career to taking care of his community.
