Donations Came When He Opposed Trump 93 Percent Of The Time
Following Rep. Jefferson H. Van Drew’s pledge of “undying support” to President Trump, DCCC Executive Director Lucinda Guinn called on Van Drew to return small-dollar donations to the people who contributed to him while he voted with Speaker Pelosi 90 percent of the time.
“Nurses, school teachers, and working class New Jerseyans sent Jeff Van Drew their hard–earned dollars when he opposed Donald Trump’s attacks on working families 93 percent of the time. Now that he’s traded in his values for a Presidential endorsement, it’s time to give those folks a refund,” said DCCC Executive Director Lucinda Guinn. “Van Drew received those donations while voting with Planned Parenthood 100 percent of the time, calling out the White House’s white supremacy, and pledging to stay a Democrat. He should return that money now that he’s changed his stripes and pledged his ‘undying support’ to President Trump.”
On Monday, the Philadelphia Inquirer called on Van Drew to return donations to individual donors.
