DCCC Chair DelBene Announces New Additions to DCCC 2024 Team

Today, DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene announced key additions to the DCCC’s 2024 team.

Joining the team:

  • Rahul Chopra, Research Director

  • Courtney Rice, Communications Director

  • Will Van Nuys, National Political Director 

  • Jonathan Cousimano, Senior Director for Membership Engagement 

  • Brandi Woods, National Candidate Fundraising Director

  • Kate Magill, Director of Litigation and Voter Protection

  • Nick Richardson, National Digital Director for Campaigns

  • Steve Moran, Polling and Modeling Director

  • Grant Hamersma, Analytics Campaigns Director

  • Seong Kim, Analytic Programs Director

All additions have worked for the DCCC in previous cycles.

“Only five seats stand between Democrats and the majority, but it’s going to require hard work and a strong team to accomplish our mission and win 218 seats,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene. “With so much at stake in 2024, we are fortunate to have these talented individuals joining our fight to flip the House, and I am thrilled to welcome them all.”

Rahul Chopra, Research Director 

This is Rahul’s third cycle with the DCCC’s Research Department. He most recently served as Research Director for U.S. Senator Mark Kelly’s successful reelection campaign in Arizona and has worked at American Bridge, on Sen. Russ Feingold’s campaign, and for the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee.

Courtney Rice, Communications Director 

Courtney most recently served as Communications Director for Nan Whaley’s Ohio gubernatorial campaign. In 2020, she was the Midwest Regional Press Secretary at the DCCC where she successfully helped House Democratic incumbents win reelection in battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. She is an Amy for America, Senator Heitkamp, DSCC, and Priorities USA alum.

Will Van Nuys, National Political Director

Most recently, Will served as Western Political Director at the DCCC, where he oversaw competitive congressional races in AK, CA, CO, NM and successfully protected all incumbents in the region while electing four new members of Congress. In 2020, Will oversaw 22 congressional races at the DCCC IE, and has managed multiple congressional races across the country, including Rep. Ami Bera’s re-elect in 2018.

Jonathan Cousimano, Senior Director for Membership Engagement 

This is Jonathan’s third cycle with the DCCC’s Member Engagement Department, which serves as a liaison to the entire House Democratic Caucus. Prior to joining the DCCC, he worked on the official staff for two members from Southern California for nearly 6 years, and is a Bera, Newsom, and Teamsters alum.

Brandi Woods, National Candidate Fundraising Director 

Brandi joined the DCCC during the 2020 cycle as a Regional Candidate Fundraising Director to help Democrats maintain the House. Now entering her second cycle as the National Candidate Fundraising Director at the DCCC, Brandi looks to work with campaigns to win back the House while diversifying the pipeline to political fundraising. Prior to joining the DCCC Brandi helped candidates raise both PAC and National money while working at a PAC fundraising firm and as a fundraising consultant for local and federal campaigns.

Kate Magill, Director of Litigation and Voter Protection 

Kate most recently served as the DCCC’s Voter Protection Director for the 2022 cycle where she built the DCCC’s largest ever voter protection program. After graduating law school in 2020, she became the Voter Protection Director in Iowa for President Biden’s campaign. Prior to law school she spent five years in organizing where she worked on presidential, gubernatorial and senate campaigns. 

Nick Richardson, National Digital Director for Campaigns

This is Nick’s third cycle with the DCCC. He most recently served as the Digital Director for the committee’s Independent Expenditure, where he oversaw the IE’s largest digital program to date. He is a Bully Pulpit Interactive alum, and has built large-scale digital programs for Climate Power, the League of Conservation Voters, the DLCC, HMP, and more. 

Steve Moran, Polling and Modeling Director

Steve was the Deputy Polling and Modeling Director last cycle. Prior to that was at the National Democratic Redistricting Committee and Hart Research (GHY).

Grant Hamersma, Analytics Campaigns Director 

Grant served as a Regional Analytics Director for the DCCC last cycle providing analytics support to 15 races across the battlefield. He also brings experience working on the ground in California, Florida, and Nevada.

Seong Kim, Analytic Programs Director 

Seong served as the Sunbelt Regional Analytics Director for the DCCC last cycle, where he managed the analytical workflow in closely contested races across the South – resulting in 10 wins. He also brings experience working on the ground in Georgia, as well as with nonprofits in Washington State and Wisconsin.
