NBC Meet The Press Now: GOP seemingly has ‘infinite money’ but ‘no substance’: Chair of House Democrats campaign arm
“We’re winning all across the country, and our map has expanded […]. [People] are tired of the broken promises from Republicans in Congress and this administration. Prices going up, families losing health care, a war with no plan, no strategy, all of this, a[re] broken promises from this administration. And as people look at November and are looking about what they can do to make a difference for their families, they’re looking at the great candidates that we have that are running. So we’re winning. We’ve got great candidates. We’ve got the message, and the American people are with us.”

“The path to the majority is through the purple districts across the country, and so having candidates who have crossover appeal is very important. […] We’ve got mayors, firefighters, many veterans who have proudly served their country, a Grammy award-winning musician, folks with a variety of backgrounds who are deeply connected to their communities. That’s why we’re winning across the country. Our secret sauce is great candidates.”

“[Republicans] do seemingly have infinite money, but they also have no substance. […] Remember, even in special elections up till now, since 2024, Democrats have been winning, and in many cases, vastly outspent by Republicans, five times, 10 times more by Republicans. But you know, putting a ton of money out there with no message doesn’t work. Anything times zero is still zero. That’s why we’re winning, and we will have the resources to make sure our candidates are getting their message out to voters in these swing districts.”

“We’ve seen big swings in the Latino vote since November of 2024 because they see and feel the impact from decisions made by this administration, rising costs, but also fear in communities being targeted by ICE, and people know and have friends who have been impacted. You’ve even heard about folks feeling like they have to carry around some type of documentation because they are concerned that they would be detained just for what they look like. That’s what it means across the country, and even in the elections in November last year, we saw huge swings in the Latino vote already because of the impacts on the ground.”
