DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján today announced record-breaking July fundraising. In July, the DCCC raised $13.5M compared to $11.9M in July of 2016. The committee raised $5.8M online in July with an average gift of $19
Through July, the DCCC has raised nearly $191M total with over $70.8M coming from online donations. Over 410k first-time donors contributed to this total raised through July. Reflecting the energy behind House Democrats, the DCCC has raised 4.8M individual gifts $200 and under through July.
Despite full Republican control of Washington, the DCCC has out-raised the NRCC nearly every month and by tens of millions cycle-to-date.
“There is no question that the grassroots are united around the goal of taking back the House,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “With the unprecedented amount of Republican dark outside money, it’s more necessary than ever that Democratic candidates and our committee have the resources needed to share their stories and records of service with voters.”
