DCCC CHAIR LUJÁN RECOGNIZES DANA BALTER AS PART OF ‘RED TO BLUE’ PROGRAM

DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján today announced that Dana Balter has earned a spot on the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program.

Balter has worked hard in her community to earn a spot on Red to Blue by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond her demonstrated ability to build a winning campaign infrastructure, Balter has an authentic story that connects with voters in New York’s 24th Congressional District.

“Dana Balter understands the challenges facing central New Yorkers because she has lived them. Inspired by her brother, Dana has built a career working as an advocate for families of disabled individuals. Overcoming her own illness that left her with a pre-existing condition meant she couldn’t sit back as thousands of central New Yorkers had their health care threatened,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “Dana has created an impressive grassroots campaign that will finally give the people of New York’s 24th Congressional District a representative who puts them first.”

Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested program at the DCCC that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to run strong campaigns. Additionally, the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings, and more. It is not an endorsement.
