Addition to Battle-Tested Red to Blue Program Highlights Rouda’s Strong Campaign
Indivisible Orange County 48 Applauds DCCC Action
DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján today announced that Harley Rouda has earned a spot on the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program. Rouda is in a select group of Democratic candidates in the country to receive this designation thus far.
Rouda has worked hard in his district to earn a spot on Red to Blue by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond his demonstrated ability to build a winning campaign infrastructure, Rouda has deep ties to this district and a compelling message and story that will flip this competitive district blue. Polling shows this race as winnable for Democrats.
Rouda has been endorsed by an impressive array of local elected leaders, including eight former or current members of the California congressional delegation, CA-48 Democratic candidates Laura Oatman and Michael Kotick, the California Federation of Labor, Sierra Club, and Indivisible Orange County 48.

The Indivisible Orange County 48 Leadership Team released the following statement:
“We’ve been hard at work for more than a year to defeat Dana Rohrabacher and bring change to our district. We believe that the only way we can accomplish this goal is by Democrats and like-minded Independents and Republicans to unite around Harley Rouda, a strong progressive whom we were proud to endorse last week. We appreciate the DCCC following our lead and standing with Harley Rouda and grassroots organizations like Indivisible.”
