Addition to Battle-Tested Red to Blue Program Highlights Golden’s Strong Campaign
DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján today announced that Jared Golden has earned a spot on the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program.
Golden has worked hard in his community to earn a spot on Red to Blue by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization, and fundraising. Beyond his demonstrated abilities to build a winning campaign infrastructure, Golden has deep roots in the district and a persuasive message that helped drive him to victory in a competitive Democratic primary.
“Jared Golden has been driven by service to his community and country his entire life, and his competitive campaign will ultimately mean voters in Maine have real representation in Congress,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “From his time in the United States Marine Corps to his time in the Maine Legislature fighting for veterans’ rights and affordable healthcare for his fellow Mainers, Jared’s record speaks for itself. In 2018, the DCCC will make more targeted and frequent additions to the Red to Blue program than in previous election cycles.
