DCCC Chair Rep. Maloney released the following statement after President Biden nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court:
“I’m thrilled to see Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s historic nomination to our nation’s highest court. Her exemplary service on the D.C. Circuit, as well as her experience as a federal district court judge, a public defender, and a clerk for Justice Breyer, make her extremely qualified for this position. As Americans face grave threats to voting rights, abortion access, health care, and more, we need someone like Judge Jackson on the Supreme Court who has a record of being a champion for equal justice under the law. I applaud President Biden on his decision, and I look forward to seeing the Senate move forward with her historic nomination.”
