Tonight, Andrea Salinas won the Democratic primary in Oregon’s Sixth Congressional District. If elected, Salinas would be the first Latina to represent Oregon in Congress.
DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating Salinas on her historic victory:
“Congratulations to Andrea Salinas on her historic victory in Oregon’s Sixth Congressional District tonight. Andrea has been a leader in the fight to lower prescription drug prices, defend a woman’s right to choose, and protect our environment, and I have no doubt that she will continue this important work in Congress.
