Today, Christina Bohannan won the Democratic primary in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District and will advance to the general election as the party’s nominee. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating her:
“I’d like to extend warm congratulations to Christina Bohannan for her primary victory. Christina has spent her time in public office fighting to make sure everyone who works hard has a fair shot at the American Dream – just like she did. And in Congress she’ll do just that by fighting to lower costs, protect health care, and strengthen public education.
“The DCCC looks forward to working closely with her to flip this seat blue and ensure Iowans have a leader who is laser-focused on fighting for hard-working families in Congress.”
