Last night, Christy Smith won the primary in California’s 27th Congressional District and will advance to the general election as Democrats’ nominee. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating her:
“Congratulations to Christy Smith for her primary victory. Christy is a proven fighter for California’s 27th district. She is deeply rooted in this community and will offer a representative voice in Congress.
“Through pushing a dangerous, MAGA agenda, Mike Garcia broke his sacred oath to his country and to his constituents. The DCCC looks forward to partnering with Christy Smith to hold this radical Republican to account and offer the working families of CA-27 the leadership they deserve.”
