Tonight, Don Davis won the Democratic primary in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District and will advance to the general election as the party’s nominee. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating him:
“A warm congratulations to Don Davis on his victory. As a veteran, minister, small-town mayor, and state senator representing eastern North Carolina, Don Davis has always rolled up his sleeves to get to work for North Carolinians, and he’ll be a champion for NC-01 in Congress. Now, it’s all eyes on November. The DCCC looks forward to working with Don Davis from now until Election Day to keep this district in Democratic hands.”
