Yesterday, Jay Chen won the primary in California’s 45th Congressional District and will advance to the general election as Democrats’ nominee. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating him:
“Congratulations to Jay Chen on his primary victory. Jay Chen understands the meaning of service. He worked his way through college on a Navy ROTC scholarship and served our country honorably from the Korean Peninsula to the Middle East. Now Jay, the child of Taiwanese immigrants, is stepping up once again to continue that record of service and ensure Orange County families have a representative voice in Congress fighting for their interests. The DCCC looks forward to working alongside Jay from now until Election Day to send this proven leader to Congress.”
