Today, Liz Mathis won the Democratic primary in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District and will advance to the general election as the party’s nominee. DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating her:
“Congratulations to Liz Mathis on advancing through her primary. Liz Mathis is a lifelong Iowan and proven leader for working families and seniors. She’s dedicated her career to telling Iowans’ stories as a journalist and carrying those stories with her as she makes change as a state senator. I know she’ll bring to Congress that same spirit of working with anyone to deliver results and restore meaningful representation to Northeast Iowa again.”
