Tonight, Rep. David Trone won the Democratic primary in Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District. DCCC Chair Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement congratulating Rep. Trone on his victory:
“Congratulations to David Trone on his primary victory tonight. For years, David has been a leader in tackling the issues that matter most, from championing the fight to combat the opioid crisis, to getting money back into the pockets of hardworking Maryland families. Tonight made clear that voters are eager to send Rep. Trone back to Congress to continue serving their community. Republicans are heavily targeting this district, but Rep. Trone has the experience, record, and support needed to win. I look forward to seeing him protect this Democratic seat come November.”
