| “Pride is a joyous time to celebrate all members of our incredible community and a chance to elevate the fundamental right of LGBTQ+ people to live authentic, proud lives regardless of who they love or how they identify. It’s important that we honor the advocates who have paved the way and fought tenaciously to secure our rights.
“Not long ago, families like mine couldn’t exist. There were bans on gay marriage, LGBTQ+ adoption, and worse. While we’ve made strides in the fight for equality, we cannot become complacent as radical, intolerant politicians continue to attack LGBTQ+ rights.
“We cannot take anything for granted as Republicans have proven they’re eager to throw out legal precedent to advance their extremism. It’s critical that we elect politicians who will fight to protect equality and pass federal protections to combat inhumane attacks on LGBTQ+ people, especially transgender and non-binary people.
